Student Voice

Student Voice:

Each form has two representatives on Student Voice (School Council), these are decided at the beginning of the school year as a vote in form.  Form reps attend a lunch time meeting once a half term where they share the views and raise issues that have come from other members of the form.  These representatives then feedback ideas and projects that are discussed in the meetings. At Laurence Jackson School there are a number of ways in which students can raise any issues, concerns or ideas that they have, these are:

Charities:

After feedback from student voice in April 2016 each year group fundraises throughout the year for a Year Group charity.  2017/18 will be the second year that each year group have had their own charity. 

The Charities for 2017/18 are:
Year 7 - Diabetes
Year 8 - Zoe's Place
Year 9 - Cleveland Mountain Rescue
Year 10 - North Air Ambulance
Year 11 - Daisy Chain

Throughout the year the school will also support other events such as Children In Need, Sports Relief and The Rotary Club's Shoe Box Appeal.
