Former Student Success

We are very proud of Matthew Morton, who left LJS 2 years ago. For those who did not have the privilege of knowing Matthew, he was re christened ‘Magic Morton’ at LJS.

He gained his nickname because he started LJS in Y7 and initially struggled with certain aspects of school life. Matthew made phenomenal progress throughout the 5 years he was here and far exceeded his target grades. He was very determined and focused and adamant he wanted to go to University, pushing himself outside of his comfort zone to achieve this.

When the A level results were released, PPC issued a press release stating that Matthew had gained As in both Maths and Geography and a distinction in Performing Arts. He is going to Leeds University at the end of September to read Maths.
