Historic Day for Laurence Jackson School
The keys to our wonderful new building have been exchanged; Tuesday 30 August will go down in our history as the day the new school building transferred ownership across to LJS. Known in the trade as Service Availability Day, this handover marks the end of an intensive construction programme and provides the young people of Guisborough and East Cleveland with a world class school fit for the 21st Century.
To relieve some of the pressure on the catering facilities at the new school upper school students will be given the privilege to use an exciting new facility called “The Food Cube” which will offer a wide range of healthy snacks as part of an integrated approach to our school food provision.
On Thursday 13 April, our seventh annual Dance Show took place in the main school hall. In front of a sell out audience, every single student performed with impeccable professionalism, passion and quality to provide a show which Mr Gavin described as the ‘best ever!’.
