In view of the recent tragic fire in London, I would like to reassure parents that no combustible materials were used in the construction of the building and a sprinkler system and fire alarm operates throughout the new building.
Students are familiar with the fire evacuation procedures, which have been fully tested, although we will carry out a further simulation exercise before the end of term.

Congratulations to three Laurence Jackson School pupils who competed in the U14 National Finals for Grangetown Netball Club this weekend. Erin W, Ruby W & Katharine B (Vice Captain) all took to the court and played against the best teams in the Country. To be one of the 18 teams at the finals the squad had to qualify through County and Regional Leagues. This competition saw the squad finishing 8th in the Country, missing out on 7th place by one goal. This is a massive achievement for these students and is the best position the club has ever finished in a national final.
